Weather or Not

The immensely popular Weather or Not newsletter was relaunched in 2015 as a much sought after forecasting tool for FarmLink members and now continues into 2022. The Weather or Not publication includes details on soil moisture data from a network of eight sites around the region, including Greenethorpe, Beckom, Methul, Temora, Dirnaseer, Grong Grong, Ganmain, and Lockhart, installed by Cropsol Consulting Services and Yield Prophet by the Birchip Cropping Group.  Weather or Not provides an overview of the seasonal prospects, crop resources and climate and weather analysis and the agronomic implications of each and outlines the latest agronomic considerations and nitrogen inputs at the relevant growth stage. Analysis is provided by FarmLink's Senior Trials Agronomist, James Holding. The project is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, through funding from the Australian Government's National Landcare Program.

The newsletters are produced throughout the growing season, from June to December, and mailed to members so they can access the information as soon as possible. Past editions of the Weather or Not will be archived below, at least one month after members receive their original copy in the mail.

If you would like to access the Weather or Not newsletter as soon as it is available, as well as take advantage of additional FarmLink member benefits, please contact the office on (02) 6980 1333
