Profitable and Sustainable Sheep Production in the Mixed Farming Zone

The project is a collaboration between FarmLink, Riverina Local Land Services, The Graham Centre and Clear View Consulting

Project code - RV00595

The project will extend outcomes from research activities conducted at Temora Agricultural Innovation Centre examining the contribution of genetics to sheep productivity, efficiency gains through electronic identification, economics of feed lotting lambs and the role of hard seeded pasture legumes to support livestock production. In communicating these outcomes material from existing MLA/AWI research and workshops will be utilised.

The primary communication activities, delivered in partnership with Riverina Local Land Services, will be reports distributed quarterly to the FarmLink & RLLS networks, conduct of MLA/AWI workshops to improve animal production and handling, presentation of a sheep forum showcasing industry experts in sheep production and mixed farming and showcasing the field trials at the FarmLink Open Day.
