Lead Partner – Southern NSW Innovation Hub
Farming Systems Group Alliance

Based at the Temora Agricultural Innovation Centre, FarmLink welcomes the opportunity to be the lead partner in the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub – Farming Systems Group Alliance.

The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment has established eight Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs nationally to facilitate a coordinated effort of innovation and collaboration. These will deliver a step change in the effectiveness of extension, adoption and commercialisation practices among regional communities to combat future drought.

Work commences on three new Drought Resilient Soils projects

Funded through the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) Future Drought Fund, FarmLink is currently involved in the planning and implementation of the following projects that will extend over the next two years:

CSU - Saving Our Soils During Drought
CSU - Creating landscape-scale change through the promotion of resilient pasture systems
CSU - Improved drought resilience through optimal management of soils and available water

This is a great outcome for Southern NSW with some exceptional projects being funded and a large number of Southern NSW Innovation Hub partners involved in the development and delivery of them. We will provide further updates on these projects as they develop over the next few months.

Have your say

The strategic direction of the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, its priorities, programs and initiatives is user-led. We are interested in genuine insights from a cross-section of regional communities that articulate their purpose, values and beliefs, issues of concern and their priorities in the context of drought resilience.

As a partner in the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, FarmLink will play a critical role in facilitating dialogue with regional communities across southern NSW.
