FarmLink has attracted funding for specific projects from a range of organisations including GRDC, National Landcare Program (now Caring for Our Country), Meat & Livestock Australia, Australian Wool Innovation and Land & Water Australia. Funding is significantly value-added through in-kind contributions from collaborating research and advisory organisations, private and industry advisers and growers.

To underwrite these projects and assist the development of new projects, FarmLink has established a sponsorship fund to which the industry can contribute. Whilst recognition of contributions made is a priority for FarmLink, the fund allows sponsorship dollars to be pooled and used for priority areas not covered by specific projects. The fund will also be used to ensure the future of FarmLink, with the initial establishment funding from GRDC having ceased in 2008.
