From time to time, FarmLink has vacancies in its team, either on a volunteer, casual, part-time or full-time capacity in a variety of roles. When these vacancies arise, they will be listed below.
FarmLink Research Limited is looking for an energetic, strategic CEO with the networks and business skills to continue to grow its reputation and business.
FarmLink is a dynamic local organisation focused on Agricultural RD&E to drive profitability and sustainability for farmers in southern NSW. A not for profit membership organisation consisting of growers, advisers, and researchers in southern NSW, FarmLink co-ordinates and delivers private, public and grower funded agricultural research and development activities. With a turnover of $2.2mil pa, 9 permanent staff and a portfolio of 22 projects consisting of local and national initiatives valued at over $5million, FarmLink has experienced strong growth and now plays a significant role in Australia’s agricultural innovation system.
Based in Temora at the Temora Agriculture Innovation Centre (TAIC), FarmLink’s funding is derived through project delivery, farm management services, membership fees and partnerships. It has a range of regular events, including the flagship FarmLink Annual Open Day.
The CEO reports to the Board and is responsible for development and delivery of the business strategy and day to day operations, including staff training, recruitment, safety, and organisational structure. In addition, the CEO will maintain positive relationships with members, partners, and the broader industry, and represent FarmLink at industry and FarmLink events.
FarmLink now seek a CEO to continue to expand on the success and high reputation of the organisation, and are keen to hear from applicants who possess the following:
• Formal qualifications in business management, governance or similar with experience in agriculture, science and/or extension;
• Proven leadership and business management, preferably within a research or member organisation, with highly developed leadership and communication skills;
• Strong stakeholder engagement, including local communities, research funders such as government departments and agencies, and research collaborators;
• A strategic outlook, balanced with an eye for detail, and strong, clear communication at all levels
• Experience working with a board to set and work to an agreed strategic plan, and ensuring a safe, compliant, ethical workplace, reflecting the values and beliefs of FarmLink’s members and partners

Expressions of Interest are invited from people interested in becoming directors of FarmLink Research Limited.
FarmLink is a not for profit company limited by guarantee, involved in agricultural research, development and extension across Southern NSW.
Due to the planned retirement of current member director/s FarmLink is seeking suitably qualified people, passionate about agricultural research with local focus and outcomes, to nominate to join the Board.
